Kara Siffermann has been elevated to the role of vice president of design at Resorts World. Siffermann’s appointment occurs just months ahead of the summer 2021 opening of Resorts World Las Vegas, which is currently being developed by Genting Berhad. She previously joined the $4.3 billion project in February 2019 as director of design.

“Genting is known for delivering exceptional properties around the globe, and I am delighted to be bringing the ultimate in luxury design to its newest property,” she says.

Spread across 88 acres, the forthcoming property will feature a collaborative design executed by nine interior design consulting firms and two architects of record—all of which are managed Siffermann. Resorts World Las Vegas will be home to a total of 3,500 guestrooms across the development’s Hilton, Conrad, and LXR hotels. In addition to the 117,000-square-foot casino, amenities will include extensive F&B options, four nightlife concepts, 250,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, a 27,000-square-foot spa, a 5,000-seat concert and entertainment venue, and a 5.5-acre outdoor complex that houses seven unique pools.

Siffermann has previously directed large-scale projects for Virgin Hotels, Wynn Design and Development, and MGM Hospitality. She has applied her expertise to projects by Alexandra Champalimaud and Tony Chi as well.
