Fashion brand Forte Forte has debuted a boutique in the heart of the Campo Marzio in Rome. Envisioned by the company’s cofounder Giada Forte and creative director Robert Vattilana, the store’s opulent interiors are enveloped with a backdrop of green onyx, sourced from Afghanistan, and bright white ceilings.

“The boutique erases the barrier between the public and the private,” Forte says. “The architecture and the display of the products create a physical and metaphysical link between spaces and collections, letting the purity of the line and the poetic of materials do the talking. It welcomes and envelops, between discovery and dream, transmitting the warmth of the human touch.”

Brass railings roughly line the store’s interior to function as clothing displays, which complement the ornate palette. Panels of polished brass also adorn the perimeter of the space. Brass hinged doors detailed with portholes lead to dressing rooms, which were crafted akin to boudoirs with safe-colored captionné velvet.

Wall displays in the dressing room area showcase a range of handsome décor—from pottery and jade to jasper and pink quartz—that infuse the boutique with a worldly air reflective of the brand. A triptych mirror serves as a key focal point below the ceiling that injects a large curved shield painted in green sage into the dialogue, while a circular bench carved from a block of agglomerate wraps a lush alocasia plant.
