Pan Pacific Hotels Group has made its European debut with the launch of Pan Pacific London. Housed within the 43-story One Bishopsgate Plaza complex, the new urban retreat features opulent interiors from Toronto- and New York-based Yabu Pushelberg that balance traditional British principles with southeast Asian vibrancy—resulting in a contemporary Singaporean hospitality experience.

“To best describe Yabu Pushelberg’s approach is a Turner landscape painting but with a Chinese brush stroke,” says Yabu Pushelberg cofounding partner George Yabu. “Our design team conceived the hotel as a home, delivering a relaxed-yet-elevated residential feel. Qualities of an English manor house were reinterpreted with tailored modernity to serve as the bones of the project, while a twist of personality has been introduced through art and accessories, which layer in Eastern flair.”

Modern lines and an artistic flair punctuate public spaces like the lobby, which is equipped with a spiral staircase leading to Straits Kitchen, one of the signature onsite eateries. Home to dual private dining rooms, Straits Kitchen conveys a quirky and bold identity accented by custom murals that enliven the atmosphere with Asian botanicals. On the first floor, the Orchid Lounge serves as a posh setting for afternoon tea, while Ginger Lily provides a chic environment inspired by Singaporean bar culture.

Pan Pacific London also features a wellness floor spread across 11,650 square feet. Dedicated to holistic wellbeing, the space boasts an infinity pool, a fitness center, and treatment areas outfitted with tall ceilings and paneled wood screens. Nine meeting rooms and a 5,000-square-foot ballroom detailed with a lavish custom chandelier round out the hotel amenities.

In contrast to its lively social hubs, Pan Pacific London’s 195 guestrooms and 43 suites feature soothing neutral tones and sumptuous curves. Custom headboards embed each accommodation with an artful focal point that depicts oak, elder, elm, and maple trees, as well as other tranquil scenery. “We wanted to deliver a tranquility throughout the hotel in juxtaposition to the bustling of the property’s surroundings,” says fellow cofounding partner Glenn Pushelberg. “Pan Pacific is intended to feel tailored, calm, and serene without falling flat on metaphors or symbolism. We wanted our guests to be immersed in a worldly outlook that is rooted in warmth and comfort of the brands heritage.
