Kempinski Hotels is set to introduce the David Kempinski Tel Aviv—its 80th international property and its first property in Israel—in February 2022. Housed within a new skyscraper crafted by Israeli firm Feigin Architects, the luxury concept will overlook the city’s famed Mediterranean Sea promenade only steps away from its urban center as well. Interiors will be spearheaded by Ara Design and reflect a Bauhaus influence complementary to the city’s vernacular.

“The hotel is nearby the world’s cultural heritage site White City and this highlights its prime location. The building’s clean lines and strict geometry, as well as its lack of ornament and functionality, reflect the shapes of Bauhaus buildings and beliefs,” says Erica Fornara, interior designer for Ara Design. “We wanted visitors to be able to enjoy the scenic views from every corner of the hotel, as well as feel the distinct Israeli vibe from the design crafts, tapestry of colors, patterns, and rich forms.”

Floor-to-ceiling glass walls reinforce the architecture of the cityscape and floods interiors with sunlight. Amenities will include five F&B spaces that pay homage to Tel Aviv’s gastronomic scene, including Sereia Restaurant and Lounge, an upscale Kosher seafood eatery. Located atop the property on the 34th floor, nightlife concept Cloud51 is slated to open in April 2022. A poolside option, lobby bar, and a dual cigar and whisky bar will also round out the lineup. A full-service spa will comprise 11 treatment rooms, a fitness center, sauna, salon, and relaxation area as well.

Among the David Kempinski Tel Aviv’s 250 guestrooms and suites, the 4,000-square-foot triplex penthouse will serve the crown jewel of its accommodation options, complete with a 1,200-square-foot rooftop terrace and infinity pool. The hotel’s 14 suites will also afford access to an exclusive outdoor lounge on the 34th floor outfitted with a private pool, relaxation area lined with sunbeds and cabanas, and a lounge and bar.
