EDG Design Hires New Principal in Singapore

EDG Design has announced the appointment of Rob Shen to the role of managing director and principal of its Singapore office. An architect with more than 25 years of design, management, and business development experience, Shen will play a critical role in leading EDG into its next chapter.

“Rob’s deep experience in the Asia Pacific hospitality market, combined with his California roots, really helps us solidify our team’s global culture,” says EDG president and CEO Jennifer Johanson. “We are delighted to have Rob join our leadership team.”

A graduate of University of California Berkeley, Shen has spent the last 15 years working in Asia across multiple design sectors, including F&B, residential, and retail. Shen’s portfolio boasts partnerships with major hotel brands like Hilton, Hyatt, Accor, Marriott, IHG, Four Seasons, and Shangri-La.

“I’m excited to join this studio of amazing, creative talent,” Shen adds. “The team at all levels are incredibly collaborative and passionate, which makes for great team chemistry and successful projects. I’m looking forward to collaborating with our owners, operators, and partners as we continue creating unique F&B and hospitality projects in Asia and beyond.”
